Skid-mounted Gas Sweetening Unit for H₂S Removal in Thailand
HC recently completed the fabrication of a skid-mounted gas sweetening unit for a natural gas treatment project in Thailand. The package was designed to remove hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) from the gas stream before downstream processing, helping improve gas quality and protect equipment from corrosion.
Unlike many standard gas treatment systems, this project was built based on the client’s actual field conditions and continuous operation requirements. Since the gas source contains a considerable amount of sulfur compounds, the customer needs to regularly replace desulfurization media, with a relatively large consumption volume during operation. This also indicates the system has been running under a stable and demanding production environment.

The skid mainly includes a vertical sweetening vessel, inlet filtration and separation units, desulfurization media tanks, regeneration-related auxiliary systems, and an integrated PLC control cabinet. The vertical vessel is filled with sulfur removal media to absorb H₂S from the incoming gas stream, ensuring cleaner gas output for downstream use.
For this Thailand project, skid-mounted design was selected to simplify transportation, reduce on-site installation work, and shorten commissioning time. All major process sections were assembled and tested in our workshop before delivery.
What makes this project even more meaningful is that after the first unit entered operation, the customer is now discussing the second batch order with HC. For us, repeat cooperation is always the strongest proof that equipment performance meets real field expectations.
